1. Service Description

SubSync is a subtitle synchronization tool that adjusts subtitle timing to match audio tracks. The service is provided as a web application with both free and paid tiers.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SubSync for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service. Specifically, you must not:

• Upload or process content that violates any applicable law
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions
• Use automated tools to excessively access the service beyond normal usage patterns
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure

3. Tier Limits and Fair Usage

SubSync offers multiple usage tiers, each with defined sync limits. Free-tier users are subject to daily sync limits. Paid-tier users receive higher or unlimited allocations as described on the pricing page. We reserve the right to enforce fair-usage policies to maintain service quality for all users.

4. Disclaimer of Accuracy

Synchronization results are provided on a best-effort basis. SubSync does not guarantee perfect alignment for every subtitle file or audio combination. Results may vary depending on audio quality, subtitle format, and other factors.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any subtitle files you upload and any synchronized output produced by SubSync. We claim no rights over your content. Subtitle files are processed in memory and are never stored on our servers.

6. Copyright and DMCA

SubSync respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content available through SubSync infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated agent at support@subsync.cc with the following information:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed
• Identification of the material you believe is infringing and its location on the service
• Your contact information (name, address, email, phone number)
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receiving a valid takedown notice, we will remove the identified material and notify the user who provided it. That user may submit a counter-notice if they believe the removal was in error. Counter-notices must include identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake, consent to jurisdiction, and the user's signature.

Users who repeatedly infringe copyrights will have their accounts terminated.

7. Service Availability

SubSync is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not offer any service-level agreement (SLA) or uptime guarantee. The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SubSync and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SubSync and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service or from content you upload or process through SubSync, including any intellectual property claims related to your content.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we determine that you have violated these Terms of Service, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or used the service in a manner that could harm SubSync or other users. We may also terminate inactive accounts after an extended period of non-use.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of SubSync shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.

12. Refund Policy

If you are unsatisfied with a paid SubSync subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. To request a refund, contact us at support@subsync.cc.

Refunds are not available after the 14-day window or for renewal charges. If you no longer wish to be billed, you may cancel your subscription at any time, and access will continue until the end of your current billing period.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of SubSync after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
